Halo And Ninova Creation Myth

In the beginning there was nothing but the sun. After five million years, part of it exploded. This explosion created a great number of meteors. After ten million years some of these meteors cooled off, these became planets and moons. Those which still burn are meteors and stars.

There were seven moons. Six broke and gods came slowly out of them. Kalobrush, Sheomin, Mirkosh, Unifo, Pa-Zukin, and Ninova were their names. They each looked for a planet of their own. Kalobrush chose Jupiter; Sheomin chose Venus; Mirkosh chose Neptune; Unifo chose Mercury; Pa-Zukin chose Saturn; and Ninova chose Earth. None of these planets had water, because it was harmful to the gods. For thirty billion years things went well. One day Ninova was boasting about how wonderful Earth was. The other gods grew jealous and became angry. The five gods teamed up against Ninova. While Pa-Zukin and Sheomin distracted Ninova, the other three gods threw meteors at Earth. The meteors went so deep into the earth's crust they caused earthquakes. Water came out of the cracks and made rivers, seas, and oceans.

Ninova became enraged. He said "let there be predators" and there were predators of all kinds. The predators slaughtered Kalobrush. They hunted down Mirkosh and killed him, also. Ninova captured the other three gods and made them slaves. He created the underworld and demons to dwell there. He imprisoned the three gods in the underworld. He created all this out of cruelness and for his own pleasure. Pa-Zukin fell in love with Sheomin and married her in the underworld secretly. They had a child, Halo. No one knew of his birth and they were raising him in secret. When he was a young god, Halo escaped from the underworld. Ninova found out about the child and punished the parents by making them and their future children mortal.

When Halo became strong enough, he hunted down Ninova and after capturing him, broke his neck in a rage. He took Ninova's spine and created all of the other animals on the Earth. Halo freed Unifo and his parents. Unifo decided he liked Earth with its waters. He turned himself into a jelly-fish so that he could survive in the water and went to live in the ocean. Pa-Zukin and Sheomin had twelve more children. The children spread throughout the land, populating the world.

Halo, realizing he was the only remaining god, became lonely. He said "hushy labara baket raslaop" and millions of angeles appeared to keep him company and sing his praises. Then Halo went to the moon and he now takes care of Earth from his throne.
